PDFs preserve your slide layout and fonts exactly as designed — ideal for sharing presentations with people who don't have PowerPoint installed.
TurboConvert converts PPTX to PDF using pdf-lib in your browser. No Office required, no file sent to any server.
Why convert PowerPoint to PDF?
A PowerPoint file (PPTX) requires PowerPoint, Keynote, or Google Slides to open and display correctly. Fonts may substitute, animations are lost, and layouts can shift on systems without the exact same software version. Converting to PDF produces a fixed, universally compatible document that looks identical on every device — no software needed beyond a PDF reader.
PDF is the standard for distributing presentations after the event — slide decks for conferences, proposals for clients, training materials for teams. It's also smaller than PPTX for most presentations without embedded video.
What's preserved in the conversion
Slide content, text, images, charts, and static graphics convert accurately. Slide transitions and animations are not preserved (PDF is a static format). Speaker notes are not included by default — if you need notes in the PDF, export from PowerPoint using File → Export → PDF with the "Notes pages" layout option.
Frequently asked questions
Are animations and transitions preserved when converting to PDF?
No — PDF is a static format. Animations and slide transitions are not included. Each slide becomes a static page in the PDF, showing the final state of all animated elements.
Will custom fonts be preserved in the PDF?
Custom fonts are embedded in the PDF output when they are embedded in the original PPTX file. For best font preservation, embed fonts in your PowerPoint file before converting (File → Options → Save → Embed fonts in the file).
Is my PowerPoint file uploaded to a server?
No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser. Your presentation never leaves your device — nothing is uploaded or stored anywhere.
Can I include speaker notes in the PDF?
TurboConvert converts slides only, without speaker notes. To include notes, use PowerPoint's built-in export: File → Export → Create PDF/XPS → Options → Notes pages.
What's the maximum file size for PPT to PDF conversion?
Files up to 100 MB are supported. Large presentations with many embedded images or videos may take longer to process.
