How to convert SVG to PNG

      1. 1

Click Choose files or drag one or more .svg files into the box.

      2. 2

Pick a Scale — 1× uses the size defined in the SVG, 2× doubles it (the default, sharp on high-density screens), 4× gives a large, print-ready image.

      3. 3

Click Convert and download each PNG, or all of them with Download all (ZIP).

      Why convert SVG to PNG?

SVG is a vector format: it describes shapes mathematically, so it stays sharp at any size and is ideal for logos, icons and illustrations on the web. But many places don’t accept it — social networks, email signatures, office documents, messaging apps, some print services and marketplaces. PNG is the universal alternative that keeps the two things that matter for graphics: sharp edges and transparency.

      Choosing the scale

Because an SVG has no fixed pixel size, you decide the resolution at export time:

      ScaleExample (SVG defined at 200 × 100)Use
      1×200 × 100 pxExact size, small files
2×400 × 200 pxWebsites and apps on high-density (Retina) screens
      4×800 × 400 pxPresentations, print, large displays

Each pixel of the PNG is drawn from the vectors, so a 4× export is genuinely sharper than enlarging a 1× PNG afterwards.

      Getting an exact match

SVGs exported from Illustrator, Figma, Inkscape or icon libraries usually convert perfectly. When something looks different, it’s almost always one of these:

      • Fonts not embedded — outline the text in your design tool before exporting.
      • Linked images — embed images in the SVG instead of linking them by URL.
      • CSS from the web page — an icon copied from a website may rely on the site’s stylesheet for its color; set the fill directly in the SVG.

      Common problems

      • The PNG is blank or partly missing. The SVG may rely on external files or on styles from a web page. Embed everything in the SVG and try again.
      • The PNG is smaller than expected. The SVG defines a small size; choose the 4× scale or set larger dimensions in your design tool.
      • Making a website icon? PNG to ICO creates a multi-size favicon directly from an SVG or PNG.
      • Need a JPG with a white background? Convert the PNG with PNG to JPG.
      • PNG too large for the web? PNG to WebP keeps transparency at a fraction of the size.

Everything is rendered locally by your browser, so unreleased logos and client artwork never leave your computer.

      Questions & answers

How do I convert SVG to a high-resolution PNG?
Choose the 4× scale. An icon defined as 256 × 256 becomes a 1024 × 1024 PNG, rendered from the vectors rather than enlarged, so it stays perfectly sharp.
      Is the transparent background kept?
Yes. Areas without fill in the SVG stay transparent in the PNG.
Why does the text in my PNG look different?
The SVG uses a font that isn't embedded in the file and isn't available in your browser, so a fallback font is used. Outline the text (convert to paths) before exporting the SVG.
What size will the PNG be?
The SVG's own width and height multiplied by the chosen scale. If the SVG doesn't set a width and height, the base size comes from its viewBox or a browser default — add explicit dimensions in your design tool for a predictable result.
      Are my files uploaded?
No. Your browser renders the SVG and saves the PNG on your device.
